Question

Surely, it is forbidden to ask ones friends to click on the adverts, since at the beginning you sign an agreement saying that you will not do this? But on the other hand, it is a Gemara website and the money goes to tzedaka. Also, the money comes from Google, who don't need the extra money since they are multibillionaires. Rafi has asked me to click on the adverts and i believe that this is assur - forbidden, so I havent done it. what do you think?

a) if you sign an agreement saying you won't do that, then you absolutely can NOT do that. period. "dina d'malchuta dina"

b) money obtained via less-than-moral/ethical ways can not be used for tzedakah. it is pasul (not eligible)

c) you can recommend, suggest, hint, etc. and tell people about the good things that happen when they click. you can advertise, etc. but you can not tell your friends to click, if you signed 'do not tell'.
